Venusites are sentient pearls that come from the Island of Venus. They are born from a giant oyster from the ocean. They are tribalistic, and move in packs. Venusites are all sexless, however they appear female. There are no male venusites, and only 1 venusite that is neither female nor male. They only have a cloaca for excrement and lack reproductive organs. They are asexual and do not have an interest in romance either. Venusites do not age the way humans and other living creatures do. Their appearance they were born with stays the same throughout their lifespan, only changing if minorly cracked or chipped. They do not have a childhood, as they are born as adults, and do not age. They also cannot gain or lose weight. Venusites have higher strength than humans, mostly for hunting and carrying carcasses. If a venusite bashes a humans skull with all of their strength they can easily shatter it.
The birth of a venusite: When a venusite is born, the whole tribe gathers around them and greets them. Venusites are born knowing English, however can be born knowing other languages too such as Spanish. Unfortunately for them, they are incapable of learning any other languages that they are not born with (except coding languages). They are not born naked, and often come into the world with birth clothes. Birth clothes are a dress, and if the venusite stays on the island for the rest of their life, the dress stays on too. Otherwise, they will change into human clothes if they leave to other cities. They vary in appearance, and can be of any “race,” contain any hair type, body type and could appear young or old. They are as diverse as humans, mostly because they mimic humans.
Death of a venusite: Venusites are very difficult to kill, with the only way being to shatter them completely. You cannot starve a venusite to death even though they have a digestive system, or give them any kind of brain damage since their brain is rock solid. Because of this, Venusites tend to live for a very long time. However, when their time is up, the other venusites bury the shattered remains deep into the sand (to prevent the remains being uncovered and sold), and have their birth clothes be taken by the sea.
Sleep: Venusites sleep standing up facing the sea shore. While this may be off-putting to people, this is so that when they sense danger, they spring into action. Because of that, they also are light sleepers. If they feel cold, they bury themselves in the sand to stay warm. The downside to this is that it slows them down.
Anatomy: Venusites look like people, however, do not have any soft tissue at all. Scientists believe the reason why venusites look like humans is to fool sirens, which tend to eat humans. Their internal and external organs are entirely rock hard, and their skin and hair is as shiny as a pearl. Venusites have a nervous system, and a digestive system. They can see, hear, smell, taste and feel differences in temperature, but do not feel physical pain. Venusites do not have a cardiac system or a respiratory system, therefore, they cannot bleed or drown. This gives them an advantage while hunting sirens since they tend to drown their prey. Venusite hair tends to be different depending on the individual. Some hair types can be fine, and tend to be used in weaving, while others are thick and may slice soft flesh that may be in it.
Diet: While Vesusites likely exist solely to eat sirens, they are opportunistic eaters. While their diet tends to commonly be sirens, fish, seaweed and other seafood excluding clams and oysters, they can eat bread and other foods and not have their health be impacted in any way. Technically, they can eat garbage too and not be negatively affected. However, they often do not want to since there is plenty of food by the shore.
